Dr KARENZI Ben
Dr KARENZI Ben is a member of the IPAR-Rwanda Board of Directors. With over 25 years experience in public service in senior leadership roles, he is ever motivated to share his vast practical experience, knowledge and skills through independent consulting work in public policy research and analysis, corporate strategy and leadership. He has served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Finance and Economic Planning and Health (5 years) of the Republic of Rwanda. He has also served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary for another 5 years. He also led Rwanda Military Hospital as Director General for a period of 5 years.
Dr Karenzi holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), specializing in Public Sector Management ; a Master’s of Arts Degree (MA) in International Affairs and Diplomacy and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MD). He is a well trained retired senior army officer at rank of Colonel. He attended Senior Staff and Command College as well as War College and has extensive knowledge in strategic and security studies. Dr Karenzi is fluent in English and has a working knowledge in French.
